A photograph that I like

Hello everyone, here i am to talk about a photograph that i really like.
This picture was taken by the American photographer Malcolm Browne and shows the self-inmolation of the Buddhist monk Thich Quang Duc on June 11, 1963. He sat with his yellow robes, eyes closed, and his legs crossed in position of the Lotus Blossom on one of the main streets of Saigon, his accompanying monks sprinkled gasoline on his body, Quang Duc lit a match and began to burn in front of the spectators!! The monk did not broadcast a single sound or moved a muscle while burning... Ten minutes later the Buddhist monk's body fell completely charred on the pavement.
The reason for this act was because Ngo Dinh Diem's Catholic government unleashed a harsh crackdown to prevent Phat Dan's Buddhist celebration.

There is something that is still inexplicable, for when he was cremated during his funeral, his heart remained intact and he did not burn.

I really like this picture because it captures a man's courage to fight and defend his rights, obviously in an extreme way... but it shows us the corage of a man.
Perhaps the monk did not change everything immediately and had to spend a long period before all the pain disappeared, but he gave himself directly to something he believed, in peace.
