My favorite artist

Today I will talk about my favorite artist, and it was so difficult to choose because I never really thought about wich is my favorite haha.
His name is René Magritte, a Belgian surrealist painter, born on November 21, 1898, in Lessines, Belgium.
He began his art lessons (painting) in 1910, at Châtelet, then, between 1916 and 1918 studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels, although in 1915 he was already beginning to do his first works of Impressionist influence. His style of painting was ruled by Surrealism, Dadaism and Modern art.
I like this artist because of the structuring he uses in his works, because it is something that usually I also use when im creating a work, also adds objects of everyday life, which I think is great for an easier approach to the viewer to the work. In my first year of career I worked with a painting of  him (The Son of Man, 1964) and that was my first approach to his works, I enjoyed working in that work, and by the way it was my favorite piece of art.

As a fact, in this work the wet veils allude to the suicide of his mother, drowned in the river.
(The Lovers, Paris 1928)
